In Maremma there are many excellent restaurants where you can enjoy local cuisine, both inland and on the coast. Still not many can boast the Michelin star, perhaps today the most important recognition of the chef’s skills and the performance of a restaurant. We are talking about starred restaurant Trattoria di Enrico Bartolini, located a few kilometers from Castiglione della Pescaia next to the well-known Tenuta La Badiola. Enrico Bartolini is a young starred chef leading a series of restaurants throughout Italy including La Trattoria, opened in 2016 in Maremma. The restaurant is part of the exclusive five star Andana resort, and in fact the restaurant reflects its high standards. Originally summer residence and hunting lodge of the Lorraines, built by Leopold II in the first half of the nineteenth century the establishment is worth a visit. The Trattoria di Enrico Bartolini offers a tasting menu as well as à la carte, both rich of creative ideas always catefull of Tuscan cuisine. Menus change according to the seasons and always characterized by high quality products and, when possible, by zero kilometer ingredients thanks to the vegetables garden present in the estate.
The Trattoria’s wine selection offers a wide variety of wines, especially of Tuscan area, but dedicates also space to other Italian and international wines. Obviously the price of a dinner is not comparable to a normal restaurant nearby, but the experience is definitely worth the expense.
